Annual Returns

The completion of the annual return ensures that the details held at Companies House are complete and up to date.

Every company (including dormant and non-trading) has to file a return at least once a year within a fixed time limit.

Presentation of annual accounts must be in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Standards.

Failure to file a return on time is a criminal offence and could result in prosecution of the directors and the company being struck off.

All companies incorporated with SMART Company Formations are able to complete their annual return using our online system for a small annual fee. This charge includes the electronic filing fee of £15.

The return will be checked by one of our experts, prior to submission with Companies House.
