Nominee Company Secretary Service

Under recently amended company regulations, a UK company does not have to list a company Secretary.

If no secretary is appointed then those duties must be carried out by the Director.

However, a company still has the option to appoint a company secretary if required, who will continue to act in the same way as now with no change to the duties and authority that apply under current rules.

It is also worth noting that many institutions (e.g. banks, insurance companies etc) still insist this practice is adhered to and a company secretary is listed.

As part of our service, SMART Company Formations will be listed with Companies House as your Company Secretary, and we will sign your business bank account application and provide any necessary identification the bank should require.

We also forward up to ten items by first class post (excluding any trade mail) and perform certain secretarial duties at an additional charge.

SMART Company Formations will not have any involvement with the operations of the company.
